Theodore Wafer Guilty On All Counts In Killing Of Renisha McBride
We Have Justice!! Justice in the sense that we will never get Renisha back but at least it's justice for the crimes that was committed against her. Theodore Wafer, the man who shot and killed an unarmed Renisha McBride in November 2013, has been found guilty of second-degree murder. If you recall, McBride ended up on Wafer’s porch searching for help after she crashed her car on a Detroit street about a half-mile from Wafer’s suburban home. He fatally shot McBride in the face after she knocked on his door. How does anyone shot someone with no weapons in hand and no threat of violence. All she did was knock on the door. In closing arguments, the prosecution said Wafer, who claims to have acted in self-defense, should have called police instead of becoming “judge, jury and executioner.” Prosecutors also emphasized that Wafer had other options instead of confronting McBride himself. The trial lasted a little over a week. The 12-person jury also found Wafer guilty of manslaughter and felony firearm after deliberating for less than two days. We’ll keep you updated on the details as they come in.
