The company said in a statement customer complaints had spurred it to launch an investigation into excessive brake pedal firmness, discovering that certain vehicles’ brake boosters can become corroded through water exposure and become compromised. The affected vehicles include the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs, model years 2011-2014.
