Marshall beats Wythe for VA high school boys basketball title
Blue!! Blue!! Blue!! Blue!! John Marshall beat George Wythe 74-56 to win the group 3A boys basketball state championship.
The game marked the first time in history that two boys programs from Richmond city schools will meet for a state championship.
Marshall has won six titles all-time and were runners-up last year. Wythe last played for a state championship in 2002. The Bulldogs have never won a basketball state championship.
The two teams have met twice this year with each team winning once. Wythe won the last meeting in the region finals.
This story is a few weeks old but here at Any and Everything, we want to keep stories of youth excellence in the for front. They are our future and they should continue to get praise. We also want to praise Joei Chancellor of The Network Grind for allowing us to use her photos. The Network Grind also provided these young adults with support at each game and provided other opportunities outside of basketball with the help of other JM supporters.
Let us continue to follow these young adults because there future is bright.
Blue!! Blue!! Blue!!
