Awkward School Photos Teens With Guns
School board members from Broken Bow Public Schools voted 6-0 on Monday to allow graduating 12th graders to pose with firearms, "if done tastefully," Apparently, it was parents who requested that their kids be able to pose with guns, Superintendent Mark Sievering told Omaha.com. Because hunting is popular in that area, Sievering told the site that he was willing to vote on the change of policy. "The board I believe felt they wanted to give students who are involved in those kinds of things the opportunity to take a senior picture with their hobby," he told the site. The new policy stresses that the photo must be "tasteful and appropriate," according to Omaha.com. Students may not point weapons at the camera. It's school picture time, and while your child might be thinking of bringing his trusty tuba in on the action, some seniors in rural Nebraska are bringing guns.
